Shadows on the Little Joe

The St. Joe River is one of my favorite watersheds to explore close to home. My route to this tributary requires driving gravel forest roads through a gorgeous mountain pass and an old rail bed that runs through single lane tunnels. It's always full of adventure, with quiet moments like this where I'm alone and in tune with my environment. In my work, I strive to convey the emotion of the experience, a sense of my relationship with myself and the landscape.
