Daydream

If it’s quiet, peaceful, and a beautiful moment, my surroundings blur, mental imagery emerges, and I find myself caught between Heaven and earth. This seen was captured on an unseasonably warm winter evening during the golden hour. It was all oranges and blues, pulled me right off the road, and drew me to snap references of this scene in it’s most beautiful form I’ve seen to date. If there are skies, water, and grasslands, daydreaming in nature occurs. This scene kept me present and called for time to reminisce on the past, and daydream about the future. The painting began with an oil wipe-out of burnt Sienna, then layered with colors. The painting was completed on ampersand gesso board.
