Afterglow’s Exchange

We are residents in Lake White State Park, Waverly, Ohio. During nighttime joyrides, this gorgeous view of Lake White paints a different picture for its residents and viewers every evening. My photo reference was captured showing an incredible exchange from the heavens to the residents below. I am frequently overwhelmed with appreciation for the quiet warm comforts that the lake’s nature shares with the residents and neighbors in this area. The warmth of the sky hands off to the warmth of family filled, comforting homes below. The painting began with an underpainting/wipe-out using Burnt Sienna, then overlayed with multiple color passes using a nocturne palette from that night.
