For well over a decade, birds have fluttered into my art as a way to cope with the loss of my Mother and to keep her memory alive. Taking some of the final memories I had with my Mom sitting, chatting and watching the birds outside her bay window and then integrating that into my paintings.
Growing up in Wisconsin, Friday nights were centered around Supper Clubs, Fish Fries and Old Fashioneds. I have had many great times with family and friends and enjoy creating work that encapsulates these feelings in a lighthearted whimsical way.
