Morning Mist

I spent a few mornings painting this quite inlet en plein air, and then created a larger painting in my studio using the sketch as well as photos. I wanted to capture the feeling of the world awakening and light creeping over the hills and trees as the quite dark and mist of an early morning fishing hour fades.
