I was visiting Charleston, SC on an exceptionally hot day in July of 2023. Although the heat made it uncomfortable to be outside for long periods of time, I was attracted to the range of values and haziness created by the temperature and humidity. I wanted to capture the harsh light of the mid day sun as it glistened off of the palm trees and rooftops.
