Part of a series of bright flowers shining in bright vivid colors out of the darkness.
They seem to emit a light of their own, which why the series is called "Luminescent Flowers".
I painted this piece during the January 24 Strada Easel Challenge. It took two sittings day after day, painting from life in my studio while it was pouring rain outside.
