MAN WITH SCALLIONS

MAN WITH SCALLIONS, Figure & Portrait
MAN WITH SCALLIONS
Oil on canvas.
Studio method of work is same as described in my first entry, As The Crow Flies.
Amidst the towering buildings of the inner city, this painting captures an intimate glimpse into a bustling farmer's market. The merchant tenderly cradles a bunch of emerald-green scallions, lifting them from the crate with care. Freshly plucked from the soil, these scallions serve as a tangible link between the farmer and the open street market, embodying the spirit of hand labor and the tradition of bringing the bounty of the land to the city streets. In the background, the market hums with activity, a vibrant tapestry of diverse voices and cultures converging in a shared space of commerce and community.
