This is a plein air painting done during the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park International plein air competition. The view is of the Stanley Hotel in the City of Estes Park, Colorado. This was difficult to complete because on the first day of painting the weather kept changing very rapidly from sunny to rain! I then had to wait a few days to get the sunny weather back to complete the painting with the same beautiful warm shadows!
