Rooted Companions
“Rooted Companions” Described best this age old friendship between a faltering barn and it’s deep rooted, tall standing friend. I found it poetic that as the barn and its purpose was abandoned, nature and wood, from which the barn was built by hand, grew alongside to keep it company. Almost as if to stand tall, provide shade, but also point the viewer to ponder the use of the treasured structure in its prime. This barn and tree have stood in Waverly, OH for as long as I can remember. Now, 37, I value a friend willing to do the same for me, and I for them as I we reach our older years.
