Honey Bee Attitude
Being a beekeeper in the Adirondacks as well as an artist, I can't help but be inspired to constantly paint the beehives in different times of the year. The season is short with the long Winters. This happened to be just as they were collecting honey. It was almost honey harvest time and you could see how busy the bees were filling the honey supers, the boxes above their 2 storied homes. With the backdrop of the pine forest, I just couldn't help but want to capture the contrast of the bright hives against the deepness of the greens in the distance.
