A walk in the deeply wooded area of New Hampshire's White Mountains on a beautiful October day inspired this painting. The tree bark and fungus juxtaposed to the large stony outcrop seemed like a natural nature combination combined with the layer of autumn leaves under foot. The path forward seemed uncertain just as daily occurrences are.
