Late Autumn at Great Falls

Late Autumn at Great Falls was started in plein air at Great Falls overlook and finished in my studio. I am always impressed by Great Falls and the surrounding area for its natural and ever changing beauty. It is a wonderful area for hiking, walking, or painting at any time of the year. I painted Late Autumn at Great Falls with palette knife, applying thick layers of paints in areas to enhance the beauty of the cliffs and rock formations of the area.
