Inspiration on the Peninsula

Inspiration on the Peninsula was motivated while on trip to the Maine coast and a distant storm on the horizon. A smaller painting was done plein air on site. I created a larger painting based on the plein air study, expanding the colors of the clouds and storm on the horizon. The painting is primarily created with palette knife.
