August Sunrise

This is a small studio oil painting based on a photograph I took, but painted with a plein air approach. With this one my main idea was to capture the glow on the clouds and especially a believable sense of early morning mist gathering at the distant treeline. It was a pretty chilly morning back than even though it was August. It`s a field near Kozienice, Poland.
