I stood on the corner of the Avenue streets in downtown Salt Lake City one bright, summer morning and painted this scene. I was intrigued at how the steep hills seemed to disappear out of sight and dip down into the valley. My aim was to capture the essence of the street, with its excited energy to start the day.
