Linda Lane, San Clemente
The San Clemente Pier juts out into the sun-washed ocean, just beyond these trees at the edge of a rather unassuming parking lot. I set up on the lawn across the lot for the best view of the pier juxtaposed with the pines on the hillside, and the roof of the lifeguard station. A little girl came up to ask what I was doing, and I extended my sketchbook to her so she could draw, too. Dad came up and was so pleased with the results (particularly hers!) Just another great day outside in the sun, painting and enjoying the temperate climate of the Southern California coast.
